Small dogs and pups have very little natural buoyancy of their own, especially if they are short-haired, so extra buoyancy is needed in specially designed life jackets for miniature dogs/small dogs.  Up Bouy have  provided this extra flotation by putting  three high-density expanded polyethelene  pockets fitted along the length of the life jacket. Two additional EPE panels are located under the dog’s head, raising it above the body and keeping it clear of the water level (preventing sea water being swallowed).  The small dog life jackets combine three different thicknesses of fabric with velcro panels and  snap-click fastenings to offer the optimum combination of security and comfort. The under belly breathable panels which fit around the dog’s tummy use a combination of neoprene and terylene, designed to shed water quickly,which prevents dogs over-heating and chafing, as both are natural materials, so give good comfort.

The chest and neck straps are fully adjustable and feature tough self-fastening velcro panels. Located over the velcro panels, the quick-release snap-click fastenings create an extra layer of security – the garment should fit snuggly, so that your dog cannot escape out of it.  The top  grab handle is  for easy rescue or just carrying your dog.

How to measure your dog for OUTWARD HOUND DOG LIFE JACKETS

* X-Small fits dogs 15-19 inches in girth (up to 18 pounds)
* Small fits dogs 19-21 inches in girth (15-25 pounds)

Weigh your dog first. Measure girth around the broadest part of the chest and add 2 inches.
